Andrea and Daniel - Sneak Peek

During the holidays, while we were in the Midwest, we went to our friends' Andrea and Daniel's wedding in Central Illinois. It was a fun, unusually warm (mid-60s!), stormy, December day.

Normally, I like to do a sneak peek just a week or two after the day of the wedding, but - because of the holidays - it has taken me a while to get caught up with projects. Sorry for the delay, guys! However, that does mean it will only be a couple weeks before I am done with all the photos.

Rebecca and Erik's Wedding

Rebecca and Erik's wedding also took place at the Portland Temple, here in Oregon. This was the first wedding in a while that I've photographed by myself (without an assistant), so I was sort of wary about the possibility of being rushed or "missing moments."

But, the day allowed for nothing of that sort. It was such a relaxed, laid back wedding day that, not only did we have quite a bit of time for family/group photos, we also had a good window of time to do some natural, creative shots of just them, as a couple. That's always my favorite time of any wedding day that I shoot, and it makes it even better when we're not in a hurry. So, thanks, guys!

Leia and Seth's Wedding

Leia and Seth's Wedding ceremony took place at the Portland Temple in Lake Oswego, OR. Then, we headed south to Bend, OR for their reception at Broken Top Club. My wife and I had a great time shooting their wedding and were grateful to be able to get to know some of their family and friends and to be a part of their special day.

Rachel and Jared

I did an engagement session with Rachel and Jared on December 14th. For those of you in the Portland area, you may or may not remember that this was the start of the crazy blizzard-like snowfall out here in the Pacific Northwest... so crazy, in fact, that we almost had to post-pone the session.

However, since the roads were pretty bad and we were all near Troutdale, we changed our original plan of heading to PSU Campus and instead headed over to McMenamins Edgefield. The place looked beautiful with all the snow - and these guys were troopers in the cold temperature. Here are a few photos from the day:

Hodson Family Portraits

I was glad to fit in another outdoor portrait session before the cold (read: rain) hit. I recently did a family portrait session for the Hodson family. Lexy, the older daughter, had me shoot her senior portraits a few months ago, and I was excited when her mom asked if I'd take a few photos of their whole family.

Leia and Seth - Sneak Peek
